At ages ranging from 11 - 14 years old, the quartet now known as LoveNotes began as a Young Women In Harmony quartet through Sweet Adelines International in 2002. The group, then called UnderAge Quartet, performed and competed regionally at the Young Women's level until they won the 2005 International Young Women In Harmony (YWIH) competition in Greenville, South Carolina.
After their YWIH win the group continued to work at their craft, perform, educate, and compete at the adult level through Sweet Adelines. In 2009, they became Regional Champions for Pacific Shores Region 12 and started competing at the International level with the world's best barbershop quartets. LoveNotes also competed in the larger a cappella community. They participated in Harmony Sweepstakes a cappella competition in 2009 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco where they won 1st place and also received the award for Best Original Arrangement for Bohemian Rhapsody. They went on to compete at the Harmony Sweepstakes Nationals where they placed 2nd while also winning the Audience Favorite award. In November 2009 LoveNotes appeared in Nashville to compete for the first time on the international stage. For several years they continued to excel and progress in their craft, capturing two Audience Favorites awards along the way. In the Fall of 2013 LoveNotes was crowned the 2014 International Quartet Champion 'Queens of Harmony' at the Sweet Adelines International Quartet Competition in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were also chosen as winners of the Celebrity Award by Neyla Pekarek of The Lumineers.
LoveNotes has recorded three CDs that can be purchased on their website and they continue to travel to perform and teach workshops on the barbershop style.
